Santa and the Three Bears is an animated movie that was first aired in 1970. When a park ranger tells two young bear cubs, Nikomi and Chinook, about Christmas and Santa, the cubs become extremely interested in the holiday. They question their mother, Nana, but she tells them there is no Santa and they should forget the stories from the ranger. As mother bear begins preparing their cave for hibernation, the bear cubs come up with a plan to stay up and wait for Santa to arrive, even if it means waiting all winter. Nana tries a variety of things to get her cubs to go to bed and hibernate for the winter, but they will not give in. Exhausted, Nana and the ranger devise a plan to make Christmas and Santa come early. But will the cubs fall for the ranger's disguise or will Nana be forced to postpone hibernation until after Christmas?
