Rating:

Saw III is the third installment of the popular Saw horror series franchise. Released in 2006, the movie stars Shawnee Smith, Bahar Soomekh, Angus Macfadyen, Dina Meyer, Costas Mandylor, Donnie Wahlberg and, returning as John "Jigsaw" Kramer, Tobin Bell. Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman from a screenplay by Leigh Whannel, Saw III opens just moments after the conclusion of the events depicted in Saw II. Serial killer Jigsaw has once again disappeared and eluded capture by the police. All is not well for him, however, as the evil and sadistic Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) is dying a painful death from terminal brain cancer. Jigsaw's assistant Amanda (Shawnee Smith), who aids Jigsaw as the puppet-master behind his torture games, has kidnapped Dr. Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh), brought her to an abandoned warehouse and, under the threat of a violent death, forced her to keep Jigsaw alive to complete his latest game. Amanda places a necklace full of explosives around Dr. Lynn's neck connected to John Kramer's life support system, and tells her that if he dies the device will explode. Saw III is filled with the type of gruesome torture scenes that have become a trademark of the Saw movies and may very well be one of the goriest movies ever made.moreless
