Saw IV is a 2007 horror film and is the sequel to Saw III and directed by Darren Lynn Bousman. The film continues the saga of Jigsaw, who is a unique serial killer in that he makes his victims take their own life. John Kramer, the man assuming the role of Jigsaw has died but that's not the end of his tricks. When the coroners discover a micro cassette lodged in Kramer's stomach, it sets off a chain of events bringing death after gruesome death to a series of victims. Saw IV also features Betsy Russell portraying Jigsaw's ex-wife. The film was released on October 26, 2007. Saw IV was made for $10 million dollars and made $139 million dollars, ensuring that the franchise would continue. Unsurprisingly, the reviews for Saw IV were mostly negative. The franchise continued with Saw V and Saw 3D.
