Say Uncle is a 2006 dark comedy directed by Peter Paige. Paul (Peter Paige) is a young gay man with a lighthearted, trusting and often slightly naive approach to life. Although he is single and has no family of his own, Paul enjoys a close relationship with his toddler godson, Morgan (Benjamin Scherr). When Morgan's family moves overseas, Paul finds himself feeling lonely. Since he enjoys the company of children and they all love him back, Paul figures he can become friends with some of the neighborhood youngsters. At first the neighborhood mothers think that Paul is a stay-at-home dad and welcome him warmly. When suspicious Maggie (Kathy Najimy) finds out that Paul is childless and gay, the tide turns overnight. Suspecting that Paul is a predator, the whole neighborhood joins together to fight against him. Startled and crushed, Paul must find a way to win their trust and prove that he truly is just a good guy with a big heart.moreless
