Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico is a 2003 animated film and the sixth in a series produced by Warner Brothers that re-invents the classic mystery-solving gang from the 1970s for a new generation of kids. The film begins with Fred's Mexican pen-pal inviting Fred, Scooby, Shaggy, and the rest of the gang to come visit him in Veracruz, Mexico. Fred's friend, Alejo Otero, owns a fancy hotel and offers to let them all stay there while they're on vacation. The gang decides it's a good chance to take a break from solving spooky mysteries around the United States, but when they arrive in Veracruz they soon realize there's a new mystery already waiting for them there. The mythical Mexican monster, Le Chupacabra, is supposedly tormenting the residents of the town and chasing away visitors. Never ones to back down from a villain, the gang starts investigating around the town to see what they can turn up. Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico is an exciting new adventure for the classic crime-solvers, featuring voice work by all the original Scooby-Doo voice actors.moreless
