Scorched follows three bank tellers as each develops a plan to rob the bank and keep the riches for themselves. Sheila Rilo (Alicia Silverstone) has just been dumped, again, by bank manager Rick Becker (Joshua Leonard). Knowing he was warned he'd be fired if the bank's ATM machine was robbed again, Shelia decides to get her revenge and get him fired. Stuart Stein (Paulo Costanzo) is a teller at the bank. He wants to take $250,000 from the vault and bet it all on one spin of the roulette wheel in a bid for quick riches and some excitement in his life. Jason Valley (Woody Harrelson) was promised a promotion to assistant manager of the branch, with a paltry raise to go along with it. After years of feeling underpaid and overworked, he's ready to strike back by stealing millionaire Charles Merchant's (John Cleese) safety deposit box.
