Rating:

Screwballs is a 1983 comedy directed by Rafal Zielinski. Five boys are all in detention due to high school cheerleader Purity Busch (Linda Speciale): Rick McKay (Peter Keleghan), who Purity catches giving breast exams to new students; Brent Van Dusen (Kent Deuters), who does something obscene to Purity in French class; Melvin Jerkovski (Jason Warren), who Purity entices to masturbate in the lunch room; Howie Bates (Alan Deveau), who Purity catches trying to look up skirts; and Tim Stevenson (Jim Coburn), a new student who Purity directs into the women's locker room. The boys all want to get revenge, so they decide to do anything possible to see Purity naked. As each of their ridiculous attempts to undress the homecoming queen fail, they have to resort to larger measures and involve everyone at T & A High in their scheme. With its silly premise and campy humor, Screwballs is a film that will delight all lovers of retro teen comedy.
