Second in Command is a 2006 action film written by Todd Baldridge and directed by Simon Fellows. This film stars Jean-Claude Van Damme and Julie Cox. The story takes place in the Eastern European nation of Moldavia. Sam Keenan (Van Damme) is a U.S. Marine appointed Second In Command to the U.S. Ambassador in Moldavia, and deployed to the embassy. Insurgents attack the embassy enraged by the U.S. installing a new government into Moldavia. 50 Americans are held up in the embassy and a massive army of insurgents has mounted at the gates. Keenan's girlfriend Michelle Whitman (Julie Cox) is one of the hostages. In the attack of the embassy, the insurgents kill the U.S. Ambassador. Keenan must defend the attacks of the insurgents and protect the Embassy. Keenan only has 15 marines, a CIA bureaucrat, and limited ammunition to defend the embassy until American reinforcements arrive. With the insurgents army preparing for an attack, and help hours away, the rescue of the hostages falls to Keenan.moreless
