Secret Screams (1989), which was directed by Donald P. Borchers, is a gem of the horror genre and is sure to give you the chills. It masterfully tells a story of the other-worldly happenings that are becoming ever more common in the small inn owned by Iris Norwood (Ren''e Soutendjik), who desperately reaches out to find some answers. It is clear that her inn has some grave secrets to unearth. In her quest to silence the ghostly apparitions that threaten to ruin her business and drive her mad, she hires the help of a paranormal psychology expert, Professor David Shaw (Paul Le Mat). Together they begin to slowly piece together the details in this unsettling puzzle. Their search takes them to the past in looking for answers as to why these malevolent forces seek to make themselves known. Their communication with the dead brings to eerie light secrets from beyond the grave reaching out for vengeance.
