Seed of Chuck is the 2004 comedic horror sequel that is the last chapter in the popular killer doll franchise. The story begins in England where a guy named Psychs (Keith-Lee Castle) is using a living talking doll in his ventriloquist act. He came across the doll in a cemetery in America and it just so happens to be alive. The doll wonders where he came from and who its parents are. When he sees an on set report from the new Hollywood horror film based on the Chucky and Tiffany killer doll urban legend, he is convinced they are his parents. So he escapes Psychs and mails himself over to the good old U.S. of A. Once there, he finds his parents Chucky (Brad Dourif) and Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) - although they are just animatronic puppets for the film. Using a magic amulet, he manages to bring them back to life and they waste no time in searching out new bodies and trying to continue the family line...moreless

Metacritic Score

  • 50

    The New York Times

Most of the humor falls flat. One of the film's little joys is John Waters in a small part as a sleazy photographer who ends up having his face melted off with sulfuric acid.

  • 40

    Los Angeles Times Kevin Thomas

    Chintzy-looking gore-bore.

  • 40

    Variety Joe Leydon

Simply isn't funny or frightening enough to expand its appeal beyond core fan base.
