Senseless is the story of an American businessman, Eliott Gast (Jason Behr), who is kidnapped by a group of anti-imperialistic, anti-capitalistic and anti-American revolutionaries. The kidnappers, headed by the ruthless and often loquacious Blackbeard (Joe Ferrara), broadcast the torture of their captive and the public soon becomes riveted to every twist and turn of Eliott Gast. Also, the public is encouraged to participate in deciding what happens next to the captive, by donating money and hoping their punishment is the next one to be inflicted. The goal of the revolutionaries is to provide an example of what ultimately happens when life's pursuits run parallel to that of Eliott. He is a "man of the senses" and their goal is to take away all of his. Senseless has a sincere theme: the recognition of the ever-growing dissatisfaction with capitalistic greed, and the thrilling psychological tension of a well designed horror movie.
