Serving Sara

Movie Summary

Director:
Reginald Hudlin
Released:
2002
Rating:
PG-13
Serving Sara revolves around Joe Tyler (Matthew Perry) who is a process server, and Sara Moore (Elizabeth Hurley), a soon-to-be divorcee. Joe's job is to serve people with legal notices, and the adventure begins when he takes divorce papers to Sara. She is stunned that her husband would want a divorce, but she is more distraught about the money she might lose. Sara quickly hatches a plan; she offers Joe one million dollars if he will say he never delivered the papers to her, and he has to serve Gordon (Bruce Campbell), Sara's husband, divorce papers first. This would give Sara a clear financial advantage in the divorce proceedings. Joe agrees to the proposal, and the mismatched pair end up on a cross-country journey to serve the divorce papers to Gordon. Adding to the story, Joe's main rival at work, Tony (Vincent Pastore), is attempting to re-serve divorce papers to Sara. Serving Sara is a star-studded comedy that delivers with an oddball plot and frequent shenanigans.moreless
