Seven is the 1995 psychological thriller that takes the serial killer film to new heights of suspense and terror, with an absolutely shattering denouement that outdoes anything in the entirety of Silence of the Lambs. Old, wizened, wrestling-with-apathy and about to retire Homicide detective William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) is finally getting out of the cesspool environment of the city when he's partnered with a new, young idealistic detective just joining the precinct named David Mills (Brad Pitt).
