Severance is a British-made comedy horror film that focuses on an office outing that turns deadly. The European Sales division of the military arms corporation, Palisade Defence, is on a team-building excursion to the M''tra mountains in Hungary, which also happens to be the location of a masked serial killer. The group is initially unsure about the cabin that they will be staying in, but their manager, Richard (Tim McInnerny), convinces the group to go inside. Harris (Toby Stephens) discovers a file cabinet containing cryptic Palisade documents, all written in Russian. The group discusses the documents, and Richard recollects that the lodge was formally a mental institution. Later that night, Jill (Claudie Blakely) sees someone looking into the lodge from outside, but Richard convinces the group that they should stay anyway. Meanwhile, Harris and Jill find their bus at the top of the hill and drive it back to the cabin. When the masked murderer decapitates Jill and kills Harris, the group realizes they have more to worry about than boring team-building activities.moreless
