Sex And The Other Woman is a collection of five brief stories about married but philandering men and the other women for whom they fall. A British sex comedy, it shows how relationships slowly unravel through secret flings. In one case, a young wife discovers evidence of her husband's alternate life around the apartment and must decide if she will confront him or turn a blind eye. In another, Henry (Bartlett Mullins) is finally fed up with the domineering wife (Peggy Ann Clifford) who taunts him. In a third, a lonely woman tries to bring about her boyfriend's divorce so she can capitalize on his wealth and secure her own future. In still another, a loose schoolgirl seduces a reserved, suburban husband, her best friend's dad. In the last, neighbors alert a housewife to her husband's private home life. Produced in 1972, the film holds these women responsible for the erosion of their marriages, and it captures the scintillating, often comical nature of temptation.moreless
