Shadowhunter is a murder mystery with a supernatural twist. Detective John Cain (John Glenn) is used to fighting crime on the mean streets of Los Angeles. When he is assigned a homicide case on a Navajo Indian reservation, he is convinced that it will be a routine case just like any other. The suspect in this case is serial killer Nakai Twobear (Benjamin Bratt). After apprehending the mystic "coyote man," Cain begins the trip home to transport Twobear for holding until his trial. During the trip, Cain gets into an accident and the serial killer is able to escape. Ray Whitsinger (Angela Alvarado) and other Indian police officers assist Cain on a daring horseback chase across the forbidden Sonoran desert. The people of the reservation warn Cain of Twobear's mystic powers, including his ability to possess people's souls. At first Cain does not heed the warnings, but he soon finds out that before he can solve this case, he'll need to survive it.moreless
