He's short, kind of pudgy, but that's not why he can't get a girl. He's being incredibly shallow and hitting on girls way out of his league. Him and his equally shallow friend Mauricio (Alexander) go out night after night unable to see any girls inner beauty and suffer for it. But when Hal gets trapped in an elevator with life coach Tony Robbins, he is hypnotized into seeing a woman's internal beauty as her exterior looks, i.e. witchy, hot girls will appear ugly and charming homely girls will look like models. Enter Rosemary (Paltrow) an obese sweetheart who, at first ,can't understand why he is so drawn to her but ends up falling hard for him and vice versa. To make matters even more tricky she is the daughter of the company's president. When Mauricio has Tony Robbins undo the spell, Hal must overcome is shallow ways and find the love of his life or risk losing it all.
