Shampoo is a 1975 satirical romantic drama by director Hal Ashby, starring Warren Beatty, Julie Christie, Goldie Hawn, Lee Grant, Jack Warden, Carrie Fisher, and Tony Bill. Beatty is George, a Beverly Hills hairdresser with a taste for the ladies and an inability to stay away from his beautiful clients. His girlfriend, Jill (Goldie Hawn), is fed up with his failure to commit and so, to keep her, he promises that they will settle down once he owns his own salon. With only fourty-eight hours to find the financial backing for the opening of his own salon, George starts to get himself into quite some convoluted situations. He turns to his wealthy lover and client, Felicia (Lee Grant) and her husband, Lester (Jack Warden). Lester happens to be having an affair with Jackie (Julie Christie), one of Georges former lovers. But George is not quite over Jackie and neither is Jackie over George.
