Sherlock Holmes' Fatal Hour is a dramatic tale that follows Sherlock Holmes (Arthur Wontner) and Dr. John Watson (Ian Flemming) as they try to solve another mystery. During this movie, card cheat Ronald Adair (Leslie Perrins) hears a voice coming from a mysterious painting. The painting is of a cardinal and the voice he hears is threatening to tell everyone in the town about his cheating ways. The voice does give Adair an ultimatum though; if he joins a criminal conspiracy that involves a lot of counterfeit money, then he won't expose the card cheat and cause him disgrace. Adair is very reluctant, and later in the movie is found shot in the head at a bank. Holmes and Dr. Watson jump on the case and must solve it before anyone else gets hurt. They quickly get a lead in the murder case and begin the exciting journey of solving another mystery.
