Showdown at Eagle Gap is a period piece set shortly after the American Civil War. Produced by Quell and Co in 1982, the movie highlights the tribulations of a group of homesteaders. The small community has gathered together within Texas in hope of overcoming the events of the war. The homesteaders soon learn that economic powers can be as dangerous as any formal battle. Kirk (Skip Homeier), a cruel landowner, brings increasingly harsh demands to the people. The only force willing to stand against him is Quell (Madison Mason). Quell not only faces the obvious danger of Kirk, but his own nature as a loner. As Quell grows to realize the scope of the danger he faces, he finds himself needing to lead the men around him. Where before he stood as a figurehead for the group, Quell realizes a need to become a member of them as well. As the level of conflict rises, everyone involved becomes increasingly certain that a showdown at Eagle Gap is inevitable.moreless
