Siam Sunset is a 1999 Australia comedy directed by John Polson. Englishman Perry (Linus Roache) starts suffering from serve depression after his wife is killed in a freak accident. He works as an industrial chemist developing new colors for a British paint company and becomes obsessed with trying to develop the perfect shade red paint. The color, Siam Sunset, is the same shade as his dead wife's hair and he hopes it will be his salvation. Perry then wins a trip to Australian and is given a sabbatical from work. Once in Adelaide, he boards a coach and meets overbearing tour bus operator Bill Leach (Roy Billing) and Grace (Danielle Cormack), a vivacious Australian women who is on the run after stealing a bag of cash from her violent, drug-dealing boyfriend, Martin (Ian Bliss). Grace offers to help Perry in his personal quest to catch a glimpse of Siam Sunset. Will the pair rediscover life and love in the Australian outback?moreless
