Rating:
PG-13
Sibling Rivalry is a comedic drama about a bored housewife whose one-night stand with a stranger begins a strange sequence of events from which she cannot escape. Marjorie Turner (Kirstie Alley) is tired of the same-old daily routine that includes putting up with her husband and his family of doctors and a sister, Jeanine (Jami Gertz), who can't seem to get it together. Marjorie ends up at a hotel with a man she met while grocery shopping and is shocked when he dies in the middle of their love-making session. Not wanting her husband to discover her infidelity, Marjorie quickly takes off without alerting the police, leaving her wallet behind. A traveling salesman finds her wallet and ends up believing that he killed the mysterious stranger after falling on him. The salesman contacts Marjorie and they work together to hide their involvement in the stranger's death while the salesman's brother, a police officer, investigates the death. When Marjorie learns the dead man is her husband's brother, she wonders if her life will ever return to normal.moreless
