Silverado is a movie about a group of men who are forced to butt heads with the corrupt town sheriff Cobb. After the group helps members of a wagon train recover stolen money, they are led to the town of Silverado. Upon arrival, Emmet finds out through his sister that rancher Ethan McKendrick is driving all claimants off their land to accommodate his heard of cattle. Mal's father Ezra has also been driven off his land, while Emmit's brother Jake is in jail for shooting McKendrick's brother in self-defense. Townspeople live in fear because McKendrick's activities are being condoned by the violent, corrupt Cobb. The four heroes are forced to wage a war against Cobb and McKendrick and end their stranglehold on the once quiet town once and for all.
