Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger is a 1977 action adventure film directed by Sam Wanamaker. As the story begins, sailor and Prince of Baghdad, Sinbad (Patrick Wayne), is on his way to Charnak to ask Prince Kassim (Damien Thomas) for his sister's hand in marriage. When he arrives, he discovers that Kassim has been turned into a baboon by his evil stepmother, Zenobia (Margaret Whiting). To break the spell, Sinbad sets-off with Kassim's sister, Farah (Jane Seymour), to find Greek Alchemist Melanthius (Patrick Troughton). Melanthius and his daughter, Dione (Tayrn Power) join Sinbad and Farah on their epic voyage to find a cure for Prince Kassim's condition. In their travels, the foursome encounters a giant troglodyte, a sabre-toothed tiger, a killer wasp and a host of other weird and wonderful creatures. Known for the incredible stop-motion special effects created by Ray Harryhausen, this adventure film has become a cult classic.
