Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas is a 2003 American animated film starring the voices of Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Joseph Fiennes. Sinbad (Pitt), in his quest to recover the lost Book of Peace from the evil Eris (Pfeiffer), sets sail on the sea. Showing how easy it is to cause destruction on earth, Eris sends her sea monster Cetus to wreak havoc. When Cetus attacks Sinbad's boat, Sinbad slips into the water and his held captive by Eris. She bargains with him, agreeing that if he brings her the Book of Peace, she will give him whatever he wants. When Sinbad reaches the Book of Peace, he changes his mind and decides to leave. Eris anticipates this and then impersonates Sinbad, stealing the book. The real Sinbad is tried and nearly hung for the crime, and in turn quests to steal it back form Eris. Directed by Tim Johnson and Patrick Gilmore, Sinbad was both a critical and box office failure, and was one of the last traditional animation style films released by Dreamworks.moreless
