1994
Rating:
PG-13

Siringo is a 1996 western about a half-Indian deputy marshal who tracks down a dangerous fugitive through the wilds of the Old West. Deputy Marshal Charlie Siringo (Brad Johnson) is charged with hunting and capturing a killer named Wade Lewis (Stephen Macht). He is aided in his quest by Winton Powell (Chad Lowe), a young, inexperienced lawman who seems to contribute little more than comic relief. As they pursue Lewis, the two men meet Blanche (Maggie Baird), a saucy prostitute and Plenty Wounds (Floyd Red Crow Westerman), a wise Indian. Together, the four of them continue their search for Lewis through increasingly desolate country. Eventually, of course, they find Lewis holed up with some of his confederates and the bullets begin to fly. All are surprised, however, when they learn that Siringo and Lewis share a past relationship that is not entirely innocent. Siringo tells a classic western story about justice and revenge where nothing is quite what it seems.
