Sisters is a 2007 psychological thriller about a reporter becoming involved in a disturbing story. Journalist Grace Collier (Chloe Sevigny) has been investigating Dr. Philip Lacan (Stephen Rea), a controversial psychiatrist. Grace observes his strange and intense relationship with a patient, Angelique (Lou Doillon), a beautiful, but disturbed young woman. With the help of Angelique's boyfriend, Dr. Dylan Wallace (Dallas Roberts), who also questions the relationship, Grace breaks into Lacan's clinic. Rather than finding information, she witnesses a murder on the security cameras. Or did she? Police can find no trace of a crime or a missing person. Grace pursues Lacan's past and methods, and finds evidence of human experimentation and unexplained deaths. When the evidence leads to a remote mental hospital, Grace starts to put together the pieces of the story when she finds Angelique's secret sister, but finds herself beginning to unravel. Douglas Buck directs this remake of Brian DePalma's 1973 horror classic.
