Six Pack is a 1982 comedy film starring Kenny Rogers and Diane Lane. Brewster Baker (Kenny Rogers) is a retired race car driver traveling through the country. When he stops for gas along the way and leaves his car unattended, a gang of thieves steal expensive parts of his car. Devastated and unable to catch a glimpse of the thieves, Brewster continues on his journey feeling defeated. He stops to eat in Texas where he runs into a similar scene - as he dines from inside a diner he watches a band of kids rob a car. He chases after them, believing them to be the same people who robbed him. Brewster chases the kids so far that they fall into a river and nearly drown. He rescues the kids from the water and discovers the kids are actually orphans who steal car parts for a dishonest sheriff. The sheriff throws Brewster in jail for several misdemeanors. The gang of kids help Brewster break lose and that is when he decides to take them under his wing and provide for them. Brewster and the kids consequently form a bond that is unbreakable.
