Sleep with Me

Movie Summary

Director:

Released:
1994
Rating:

Sleep with Me explores the complicated tangles of love, friendship and regrets in a modern love triangle. This 1994 indie relationship comedy tried the unusual approach of having six different writers contribute scenes to the story of two best friends, Joseph (Eric Stoltz) and Frank (Craig Sheffer) who both love Sarah (Meg Tilly). Only problem, Sarah is married to Joseph and Frank has kept his love a secret, but he also can't get over her. This witty and unusual film mixes snappy dialogue, philosophical explorations and subtle performances for a very modern approach to romance and its turbulent emotions. Director Rory Kelly uses a naturalistic approach to the love story, and an impressive cast of indie film royalty as part of the friends and family around the love triangle, including Parker Posey ("Party Girl") and Joey Lauren Adams ("Chasing Amy"). Film director Quentin Tarantino makes a memorable cameo as a boorish movie geek with a unique interpretation of "Top Gun."
