Sliver is a 1993 mystery-thriller film starring Sharon Stone, Tom Berenger and William Baldwin. The movie is based off of the book "Sliver" by Ira Levin. The book was adapted to film by Joe Eszterhas, who wrote Basic Instinct which also stars Sharon Stone. Sliver centers around a 35-year old woman named Carly Norris (Sharon Stone) as she encounters the frightening thruth behind the apartment building she lives in. Carly works as a book editor in Manhattan. She decides to upgrade her living situation by moving into an apartment located in one of New York's most chic and elegant high rise buildings. It is not long before Carly meets an attractive and seductive man named Zeke Hawkins (William Baldwin). Carly and Zeke have an immediate attraction toward one another and their friendly relationship soon escalates into a romantic, passionate love affair. Carly is also frequently harassed by a fan named Jack Landsford (Tom Berenger), who wants nothing more than for Carly to read his books. Then, one day, Carly learns that two of her neighbors have been killed. As she gets to know Jack and Zeke better, she realizes they aren't so detached from the murders in her building after all.moreless
