Snow Day is a 2000 family comedy from director Chris Koch. A surprise snowstorm sweeps through New York state, forcing school cancellations in Natalie Brandston's (Zena Gray) hometown of Syracuse. It's the day kids wait for all year round - the snow day. Ten year-old Natalie and her elementary school friends head out to enjoy their unexpected school holiday. The day is so much fun that the kids decide to keep the snow day going one more day. The local snow plow driver, Roger (Chris Elliott), is working hard to get the roads open. If they want to keep the schools closed one more day, the youngster have to figure out a way to keep the plowman from doing his job. Meanwhile, Natalie's older brother, fifteen year-old Hal (Mark Webber), is also making the most of his snow day. He's in love with Claire Bonner (Emmanuelle Chriqui), the most popular girl at his high school. Claire goes out with the idiot class jock, but Hal is hoping his best friend Lane (Schuyler Fisk) can help him win the girl of his dreams. Can this brother and sister make the most of this snow day and make their dreams come true? Snow Day also stars Chevy Chase, Jean Smart, Iggy Pop, and John Schneider.
