Snow White: A Tale of Terror is a dramatic take on the Grimm's Fairy Tale by the same name. Directed by Michael Cohn, this 1997 film spins the tale of young Lillian (Taryn Davis) whose mother died in childbirth. Lillian is left to live with her father Frederick (Sam Neill) and must learn to live without a mother. Frederick finds love in Lady Claudia (Sigourney Waver), who promises to take care of both him and young Lillian. The couple marries and Lillian quickly learns to hate her new step-mother. Claudia's heart is ruled by an evil mirror that has told Claudia that she could be Queen of every living organism. The mirror promises to make Claudia queen if she kills her new step-daughter. After a failed attempt at murdering the child, Claudia is banished to the woods and is stuck in this dark, looming forest. Claudia meets the seven dwarfs one day, and must learn to make friends with them to get out of the woods. This movie takes the story of Snow White and turns it into a violent, dramatic film.moreless
