So Evil, So Young is a 1961 British drama about three delinquents as at odds with each other as they are with the law. Lucy (Jocelyn Britton) and her partner, Claire (Bernice Swanson), break into the home of one of Lucy's former employers to steal jewelry from the safe. All is going according to plan until Lucy is caught red-handed by the butler, who Claire knocks out with a blow to the back of the head. Knowing Claire had not been seen, Lucy entrusts the stolen goods to her and frames her rival, Anne (Jill Ireland), as an accomplice. The two are sent away to a progressive girl's borstal for three years, where they find themselves in the company of other delinquents under the guard of an abusive wardeness. There, Lucy embeds everyone around her in constant conflict while Anne struggles for a way to survive and to clear her name.
