S.O.B. is a 1981 comedy that parodies the greedy culture of Hollywood. Felix Farmer (Richard Mulligan) is a successful film producer who has just endured the first financial flop of his career. Distraught, he attempts to commit suicide on several occasions. Just as he is ready to shoot himself in the head, he is saved by a beautiful young woman who inspires him to continue. Farmer decides to save his film by reshooting parts of it and converting it into an adult film. Part of his strategy depends on convincing his famous wife, Sally Miles (Julie Andrews), to appear nude in the new version of his film. Felix sinks everything he owns into fixing his movie, risking his and Sally's financial future on its success. Though the studio is initially skeptical that it will work, they become desperate to get the film back from Felix when it begins to appear that the failure they expected with actually be a success.
