Soccer Dog: The Movie is a 1999 American family comedy film by director Tony Giglio, starring James Marshall, Olivia D'Abo, Jeremy Foley, Burton Gilliam, and Sam McMurray. Clay (Jeremy Foley) has just been adopted by a soccer-loving man who wants someone to play the game with. Unfortunately for both, Clay is not interested in soccer'that is, until he finds a most unusual teammate: Lincoln. Lincoln loves soccer and really has a natural knack for the sport. When he steps in for an injured teammember in the middle of the soccer season, scoring a goal for Clay's team just minutes after getting on the field, he becomes the team's instant MVP. Lincoln may just hold the key to helping Clay's team win the championship, helping Clay discover a love for soccer, and helping improve the relationship between Clay and his new father. That's a pretty tall order, especially considering that Lincoln isn't a little boy, but a stray dog! Soccer Dog: The Movie is a fun family film about friendship and belonging.moreless
