Son Of Sam is a dramatic telling of the life and exploits of notorious serial killer David Berkowitz. From 1976 to 1977, New York City was terrorized by a spree of murders by a mysterious gun wielding assailant. Caught, tried, and convicted was David Berkowitz (Yogi Joshi), who revealed that he was told to kill by a demon that possessed his neighbor's dog. As more evidence came to light, Berkowitz's links to a Satanic cult became a focus of the case, and the possible motivation for the killings. This haunting re-creation of his psychosis and subsequent murders delves into the mind state of the man that did these terrible things. Through a series of dreamlike sequences, Berkowitz's descent into madness is captured; a frightening window into the mind of a potential killer is opened. Ulli Lommel writes and directs this unconventional approach in covering the killer known as the Son Of Sam.
