Space Jam is the hugely successful 1996 Warner Brothers live-action/animation film starring legendary NBA star Michael Jordan and the cast of Looney Tunes. Jordan plays a fictionalized version of himself, a recently retired NBA star who decides to try his hand at a career in major league baseball. Diabolical extra-terrestrial amusement park owner Mister Swackhammer (Danny DeVito) is looking to drum up a little business with some new entertainment in his park. The Looney Tunes are exactly what he's looking for, and he sends his minions, the Nerdlucks, to bring them back. The Looney Tunes want no part of Swackhammer's plans and Bugs challenges the Nerdlucks to a basketball game where the winner will decide the Looney Tunes fate. Bugs and his Looney Tunes should easily defeat the short Nerdlucks, but soon find out the Nerdlucks have help. NBA stars Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson, Shawn Bradley and Muggsey Bogues are under the control of the Nerdlucks, who transform into the gigantic Monstars as they steal the NBA stars talent and skills. If Bugs Bunny and his Looney Tunes friends can convince Michael Jordan to return to basketball, they might have a chance. But will Jordan give up his shot at baseball glory to save the Looney Tunes from captivity?moreless
