Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone is a 1983 sci-fi action film starring Peter Strauss, Molly Ringwald, and Andrea Marcovicci in an inter-galactic epic about a cocky space salvage operator who goes after a big reward on a mission to rescue three kidnapped women on a dangerous, foreign planet. Wolff (Strauss) is a small-time space captain with a lot of debt. He intercepts an alert calling for the rescue of three women whose escape pod took them to a hostile planet after their luxury cruise spaceship collided with a meteor. Wolff knows the dangers but trusts his abilities. He sets out on the all-or-nothing rescue mission. After landing on the outlaw planet he joins up with a young tracker named Nikki (Ringwald) who leads him across the dangerous terrain. Meanwhile, the three kidnapped women are being prepared for the perverse conquests of the Overdog (Michael Ironside), the villainous local ruler. Wolff has a time limit to think about, but the journey to the Overdog is filled with bizarre new enemies he'll have to defeat to survive. Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone is a cult-classic science fiction film directed by Lamont Johnson.moreless
