Spanish Affair is a 1957 drama, co-directed by Dan Siegel and Luis Marquina. The movie begins with American architect, Merritt Blake (Richard Kiley), traveling to Spain on business. In order to close his business deals, it is essential that he find an exceptional translator who is capable of understanding the complex architectural terms. The agency he hires sends Mari Zarubia (Carmen Sevilla), who handles the translations beautifully. Blake is instantly attracted to Mari and they start a romantic relationship. Mari is hesitant to let their relationship become serious because she is holding on to a secret. Her gypsy past still haunts her and things worsen when very jealous ex-boyfriend, Antonio (Jose Guardiola) shows up looking for his girl. Enraged that Mari would be with another man, Antonio is determined to keep her for himself. Blake must learn to watch his back because Antonio may stop at nothing to get his girl.
