Spartacus and the Ten Gladiators is an action adventure film directed by Nick Nostro that follows Spartacus (Ivano Staccioli) as he and ten other slaves fight against their apparent job to act as entertainment within the bloody floors of the Roman Coliseum. Originally, Rocca (Dan Vadis), a powerfully built and well-trained gladiator, escaped with his fellow gladiators, but the welcome they receive after saving the buxom daughter (Ursula Davis) of Senator Varro (Gianni Rizzo) leaves them a bit on the outs. When he conscripts the group into hunting down the rebellious Spartacus, the ten soon change their tune at the prospect of being free and going home. A nice and subtle film that focuses on the humanity of the fighters doing the blood shedding, Spartacus and the Ten Gladiators offers an impressive look at the famous rebel and his gang of gladiators.
