Movie Summary

Director:
Isaac Florentine
Released:
2003
Rating:
R
Special Forces, according to director, Isaac Florentine, is an attempt at bringing back the '80s action film. It centers around a group of American Special Forces operatives, led by Major Don Hardin (Marshall Teague). They are deployed in war-torn Bosnia to find an American journalist, Wendy Teller (Daniella Deutscher), who is being held captive by a Bosnian ex-military man named Hasib Rafendek (Eli Danker). Hasib threatens to bury Wendy alive unless the United States government complies with his demands to release all captive Bosnian prisoners of war. Hardin and his men work against impossible odds in a strange, savage country to make the rescue. The life of an innocent woman is in their hands and they are ready to shoot and slice their way through crowds of Bosnian soldiers and mercenaries to get to Hasib and free Wendy. This film was directed by Isaac Florentine (director of U.S. Seals II) and pushes the boundaries of the R-rating with its gory shootouts and violence.moreless
