  • Christmas Who was a million times better.

This is just a crappy special. Enough said. (Go ahead and dislike my opinion, it's not going to change
  • Not as good as Chirstmas Who but good.

I liked this episode. It is actually my favorite episode from season 8. Christmas Who is still better than this tough.
  • I enjoyed it

Even if the plot wasn't that good I still appreciated how hard the animators worked to animate that beautiful clay animation. I don't like this special as much as the first spongebob Christmas special but I will be sure to catch this on nick every Christmas season.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks Spongebob has gone downhill since Season 4. When I found out it was going to get a new Christmas special I immediatly thought it was going to suck especially given how dissapointing the previous specials have been. However I still went into it with an open mind and too my surprise I actually kind of liked it. For starters I really liked the stop motion animation. For me, it felt like a throwback to the 2002-2003 era where Nickelodeon used the same style of animation for their Christmas commercials. So I got a bit of nostalgia out of it. Also, the writing felt like it could have easily come out during the pre movie era. Spongebob wasn't completely oblivious to abnormal things hppening the characters weren't annoying. However there are some flaws. The first two songs weren't that good and some characters such as Santa looked just plain ugly in stop motion. I also felt that the special ended a little too quickly. And while the third song was good, it felt more like a clique "songs solve everything" solution. Despite these flaws it still managed to have enough substance and charm to be an entertaining special. It's not quite as good as Christmas Who, but it's still a good episode nontheless.
