Spymate is a 2006 family adventure film directed by Robert Vince. In the film, Mike (Chris Potter) is a super spy who partnered with a stealthy kung-fu monkey, Minkey (Louie) for years. When Minkey and Mike were together, no villain was safe. The spy duo was unstoppable. However, Mike decided to retire from the spy game to raise his young daughter, Amelia (Emma Roberts). Now ten years later, Amelia is a successful scientist who has just invented an innovative tool that will change the world. As a result, an evil scientist, Dr. Farley (Richard Kind), who is also Amelia's hero, has kidnapped Amelia to control her project. Learning of his daughter's kidnapping, Mike contacts his ex-partner, Minkey and they devise a plan to rescue Amelia. Both partners realize that saving Amelia is the most important task, but if they could also capture an evil villain the world would be that much safer.
