1976

Squirm is the 1976 cult horror favorite from writer-director Jeff Liebermen (Blue Sunshine, Just Before Dawn, Remote Control, Satan's Little Helper). The story is set in the quaint town of Fly Creek in Georgia and starts one dark stormy windy night as an electricity pylon falls over and sends over 300,000 volts into the wet muddy ground... Cut to the next day and the storm is the talk of the town as a young guy named Mick (Don Scardino) arrives from New York City looking for his friend Jeri (Patricia Pearcy) whom he is planning to stay with for a while. Showing Mick around, Jeri takes him to one of her neighbors - an antiques dealer named Beardsley and they come across his skeleton stripped completely of flesh. They tell the local copper Sheriff Jim Reston (Peter MacLean) but the skeleton mysteriously disappears and he thinks it's a prank. Both Mick and Geri decide to do some investigating of their own and discover that the local town is under siege from flesh eating worms...
