Standing Ovation is a comedy about five best friends who dream of becoming dance sensations. Brittany (Kayla Jackson), Blaze (Pilar Martin), Maya (Na'jee Wilson), Cameron (Kayla Raparelli), and Tatiana (Alexis Biesiada) create a musical group called "The 5 Ovations" and decide to enter a national singing and dancing contest that offers a million-dollar prize and a recording contract. They face stiff competition from "The Wiggies," a group of sisters who will do whatever it takes to become successful in the world of dance. Ziggy (London Clark), Zoey (Jeana Zettler), Zita (Ashley Cutrona), Twiggy (Devon Jordon), and Angel (Erika Corvette) are wealthy, driven and devious. They are supported by their father, Mr. Wiggs (Stan Dupree), who will also go to any means necessary to ensure that his daughters crush their competition. The 5 Ovations must look deep within themselves to find the creativity and ingenuity that they need to have a chance at beating their rivals and claiming fame and fortune for themselves.moreless
