Stephen King's Cat's Eye is a 1985 horror anthology film featuring adaptations of three King stories. "Quitters, Inc." tells the story of Dick Morrison (James Woods), a smoker who joins a clinic that promises to help him quit smoking forever. Dick quickly learns just how effective, and deadly, Quitters, Inc.'s methods are. In "The Ledge", Johnny Norris (Robert Hays), a former tennis star, is kidnapped by Cressner (Kenneth McMillan), the jealous crime-boss husband of Johnny's lover. Cressner offers Johnny an unusual deal: if Johnny will agree to walk around the narrow ledge outside the crime lord's penthouse, Cressner will grant his wife a divorce. If not, Cressner will have Johnny arrested -- or worse. "The General" follows a stray cat adopted by Amanda (Drew Barrymore), who calls him the General. While her mother forbids Amanda from keeping the cat in the house, the General may prove useful when a creature attacks the little girl as she sleeps.
