Movie Summary

Director:
Catlin Adams
Released:
1988
Rating:
PG-13
Sticky Fingers is a light hearted comedy about a couple of struggling musicians who stumble upon a large sum of money. Roommates Hattie (Helen Slater) and Lolly (Melanie Mayron) are two slightly dim witted musicians who career outlook could best be defined as dim. While they tend to bring a smile to the face of tourists in Central Park, that doesn't pay the bills, and rent is well past due. So when their drug dealing friend Diane (Loretta Devine) leaves a strange bag at their place that happens to have a large amount of cash inside, the two dingbats start making unauthorized withdrawals. The sudden financial freedom leads to a new sense of power and ease until the day that the mob comes looking for their money, and Hattie and Lolly have a real mess on their hands. Catlin Adams directs this fun filled adventure about a couple of dullards that achieve financial freedom in all the wrong ways.
