Stir of Echoes 2: The Homecoming is a 2007 made-for-TV movie written and directed by Ernie Barbarash. Starring Rob Lowe, Marnie McPhail, and Ben Lewis, the film tells the story of an embattled Iraq war veteran who returns home and discovers that his wounds from the war may be more intense than originally suspected. Ted Cogan (Lowe) is a National Guard Commander in Iraq when he orders his men to shoot at a speeding van that is seemingly out of control. Only later does he discover that an Iraqi family is inside, and in spite of his best efforts, Cogan is unable to save the young girl. After the van explodes, Cogan is left in a coma and is sent home to Chicago two weeks later. Cogan's post-traumatic stress disorder becomes worse and worse, and unable to afford psychiatric help, he turns to a psychic named Jake Witzky (Zachary Bennett), who helps Cogan discover that he is being haunted the by ghost of an murdered Arab-American college student. If Cogan does what the ghost wants then he will be able to live a normal life again, but the ghost won't make it easy.moreless
