Strait-Jacket is a 1964 horror film starring Joan Crawford in a terrifying tale about a woman invited to live on a farm after serving a long prison sentence for a grizzly murder, where the question looms in everyone's mind-will she kill again? 20 years ago, Lucy (Crawford) was living a comfortable American life. She was happily married to her husband, and they had a beautiful young daughter, Carol. When Lucy caught her husband in bed with another woman, however, she brutally killed them both with an axe, right in front of Carol's eyes. Once released from prison, Lucy goes to live on her brother's farm estate, where Carol currently lives along with her fiancee, Michael Fields. Lucy has trouble acclimating to the outside world again, and she makes inappropriate advances towards Michael. When Michael's parents express concerns about Michael marrying into this bizarre family, Lucy throws a tantrum that has everyone wondering if the older woman is rehabilitated after all. Strait-Jacket is a classic psycho-biddy film featuring a talented cast and written by Robert Bloch.moreless
