Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li is a 2009 live action film directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak and based on the long-running video game series developed and produced by Capcom. The film depicts the personal journey and back story of the character Chun-Li, who first appeared in the game Street Fighter 2 and is depicted in the film by Kristin Kreuk. The film also stars Neal McDonough, Chris Klein, Michael Clarke Duncan and Taboo (of The Black Eyed Peas). Chun-Li, having moved to Hong Kong as a child, is taught the art of Wushu by her father Xiang (Edmund Chen). When he is attacked and kidnapped by henchmen of the businessmen M. Bison (McDonough; another recurring character from the videogame series), Chun-Li embarks on a personal crusade to rescue him, in so doing learning more about Bison's shady organization, Shadaloo. Gen (Robin Shou) joins her in her quest to expose and seek revenge against Bison.
